The Grainger National Sales and Services show is the biggest tradeshow of the year for Grainger taking almost 9 months of planning to pull everything together and $1M budget for the branding alone. I work as the Art Director and Design Lead with a number of outside event and tradeshow companies to plan and create the overall engagement, lighting and building of the show, and merchandising of the hard and soft goods offering for our internal booth store. This includes selection and design of product offering, design of booth and product layout, and marketing of offering through photoshoots, printed banners and digital motion graphic ads. Since I have been involved in the merchandising, I have seen this part of the show increase it’s ROI by more than 25%.

Designed this booth with a copywriter and one of the biggest creative briefs I’ve ever seen. I took my expertise of tradeshows and the metalworking industry and created an engaging booth that wowed our business partners, resonated with the attendees and would sell Grainger’s value.
The booth was a huge success according to our business partners based on the number of attendees that stopped to learn more and the overall engagement level. We were able to turn around a full blown concept in 24 hours that was approved by senior leadership without any changes. I was recognized by the business partner as a true creative partner in the metalworking segment.
